For example, lighting in public areas will dim automatically during periods of intense sunlight, and automated shades will allow the use and control of passive solar heating. All of the kitchens feature Energy-Star appliances. And to help fight green house gasses and reduce the strain on our forest, both bamboo and cork floors will be used throughout Ashford Park.
To ensure a high level of indoor air quality, the paint, flooring, adhesives, and wood materials at Ashford Park will all be low-emission products, and all of the HVAC systems will have increased ventilation and feature electrostatic filtering systems.
