Green Living: Water Conservation
Ashford Park will include multiple features designed to reduce water consumption and preserve our existing ground water.
The irrigation system will utilize captured rainwater, and all of the buildings will include water-recycling systems that safely reuse “grey water” from sinks or baths for flushing toilets, irrigation, or other applications that do not require 100% sanitary water. Plus, all the bathrooms will feature water-conserving showerheads, faucets, and commodes.
In addition, Ashford Park will feature bio-swales and permeable pavement to help recharge the existing water table.
